The Crux Education Project Policies
Your Comprehensive Guide to our guiding principles

Payment Policy

Our policies ensure consistency.

Payment Options

We ask for payment for all services prior to the session beginning to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service.

Assessment Sessions:

Payment for the full service is required as invoiced.

Tutoring Sessions:

Payment can be made on a per-session basis.

Payment should be made via direct transfer to the bank account details provided to you. We accept a variety of payment methods, including Mastercard and Visa, both online and in person.

Online Purchases:

For courses, downloads, and resources, payments are required at the time of purchase. Download links will be provided via email. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email.

Negotiated Payment Terms

We understand that private assessments can be expensive, and we strive to ensure access for all individuals in need of support. Payment terms can be negotiated. If payment is a difficulty, please discuss this with us prior to your assessment or tuition sessions.

  • Instalments: If you need to pay in instalments, we will use our payment portal to set up a direct debit schedule.
  • Cash Payments: We do not normally accept cash payments. If you would like to pay by cash, please discuss this option with the assessor at the time of booking.

Supporting Accessibility

Cost should not prevent access to our services. We offer various forms of support:

  • Discounts: Available for children under 18 who are looked after, on free school meals, or whose parents are in transient roles (Clergy, Defence Forces, etc.).
  • Bursaries: Occasionally available through organisations such as the British Dyslexia Association. We can help you access these. We also are developing a bursary fund and will support you in access to this fund.
  • Crowdfunding: An option for families seeking to fund assessments. We can guide you through this process.

International Clients (Outside of the UK)

We recognise that some jobs will take families outside of the UK and that many schools worldwide deliver UK international qualifications. If you wish to pay from an account outside the UK, there may be fees associated with international transfers. Please discuss this with us at the time of booking.

Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that situations can change and that short-notice cancellations can happen. If you need to cancel, please provide as much notice as possible.

  • Refunds: If you have paid in advance and require a refund rather than rescheduling, please let us know so we can discuss this with you.
  • Rescheduling: If you wish to reschedule, we will send you a link to support this. This will not impact any future bookings. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule future sessions. We cannot currently guarantee alternative long-term availability.
