Booking Online Appointments

How do I book an online appointment?
Crux Education uses a booking portal. Online meetings will be held using a secure online meeting portal, and a meeting link will be provided at the time of booking.

Can I book more than one session at a time?
Yes, depending on the service provided, you may be asked to book multiple sessions within a given timeframe.

What should I do if I don’t receive a confirmation email?
Check your spam folder. If you still have issues, contact us on hello@cruxeducation.uk

Sight and Hearing Checks

Is a sight and hearing check necessary before the assessment?

It is recommended but not mandatory. For adults, an eyesight check within two years is advised, and for children, within six months. Hearing assessments should also be conducted if possible.

What if I am waiting for these checks?

Services will still be provided, but the assessor may postpone the assessment if sight or hearing issues are suspected.

Onboarding Process - Assessments and Tutoring

What information is required before the assessment or tutoring sessions?

Background information is required before starting the assessment or tutoring sessions. An assessment report cannot be completed without this information.

What if my school hasn’t provided the requested information?

School reports and other school information, such as work samples, may be used instead. A letter of consent might be needed to obtain this information from the school.

Cancellations

Can I cancel my diagnostic assessment?

Yes, you can cancel up to 48 hours prior to the appointment with no charge. We request 5 days' notice if possible. Rebooking is free, but refund policies apply for deposits. We are flexible and always will work for the best solution. If there is a difficulty, please do contact us and we will do our best to avoid unnecessary hardship or financial implications.

What if I miss a session?

A rebooking will be offered at the discretion of the assessor. A non-refundable deposit may be required for rebooking.

During an Assessment

What is expected of the client during the assessment?

Clients should behave appropriately and wear suitable attire. Reasonable adjustments will be made if needed.

Do parents/carers need to be present for assessments?

Yes, for clients under 16 or vulnerable individuals over 16, a parent/carer should stay with the client during the assessment.

After Assessment or Tutoring Programme

When will the assessment report be completed?

The report will be completed within 15 working days.

How will the report be delivered?

The report will be shared using a password-protected online file-sharing service.

Further Information

How long will my assessment report be retained?

Reports will be held for 6 years after the client’s 18th birthday or for 6 years for adults. After this period, the assessor will no longer provide copies of the report.

Can I get a printed copy of my report?

Yes, for a small fee, the report can be printed or transferred to a USB storage device.

How is my data protected?

Client data is protected in compliance with data protection laws, including the UK GDPR. Data is stored securely and not shared with third parties without explicit consent.

What are my responsibilities as a client?

Clients must provide accurate information, attend sessions on time, and adhere to the terms and conditions.

What are the payment terms?

Payment must be made by the specified due date. Accepted payment methods and additional fees will be outlined in the payment policy.

What is Crux Education's liability?

Crux Education is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. The maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid for the services.

How can I make a complaint?

Contact the assessor to make a complaint. Complaints will be handled promptly according to our complaints policy.

Amendments to Terms and Conditions

How will I be informed of changes to the terms and conditions?

Clients will be notified of any changes via email or through our website.
